Die Freiheitsstrafe shows portraits of inmates from German federal prisons and their personal belongings that are archived throughout the individual custody. The photographs were taken on medium format film with a Mamiya RB67 camera. These 12 selected image pairs are printed and mounted on Alu-Dibond.
